Spotlight | Zady

In our heavily consumer driven world, we have an abundance of products thrown at us everyday. Some cheap, some expensive, but none the less they are everywhere. In an effort to keep some space in my tiny apartment, I've been on a mission to stop buying crap and only make room for high quality goods. When I stumbled upon Zady a few months ago, I was instantly drawn to their mission to provide expertly crafted products with a timeless style. They look for merchandise that is locally sourced & hand crafted with a focus on high quality, sustainable materials.

One of my favorite aspects of Zady is their work with The Bootstrap Project. Every time you make a purchase through Zady, they work with The Bootstrap Project to help provide essential funding to artisans launching businesses in developing countries. Not only are you getting high quality, beautiful products, but you are making a difference. Check out their site, and let me know what your favorite product is. I am obsessed with the needle necklace and matching studs. They are promptly going on my wish list.

Celebrate Earth Day In Style

Happy Earth Day! In an effort to make going green a bit more appealing, I am compiling a few of my favorites ways to be environmentally friendly & reduce your carbon footprint. Start today, and everyday for that matter, by filling up a reusable glass bottle with your own filtered water. It's an easy & chic way to replace all those plastic water bottles, while still staying hydrated. Another wonderful thing you can do is remember to use a reusable market tote and buy locally next time you head to the market. Since all of us can't get out and plant a tree on this earth day, Consider a simpler endeavor of planting your own herbs. Terrain, my favorite garden store, has some really beautiful planters & seed collections that would look beautiful in any kitchen.

With the beautiful weather we have been experiencing, it's time to throw open your windows and let the gentle breeze cool down your home. Beyond cooling down your home, the beautiful spring weather is perfect for air drying your laundry. It's time to give your dryer a break, and let the great out doors dry your linens for you. Remember before you put away your laundry to give it a spritz of environmentally friendly linen spray. It smells so great, I bet you'll never miss another dryer sheet. Lastly, before heading to the mall for some new spring cloths, consider initiating a closet exchange with all your fashionable friends. It is a great way reuse & recycle old cloths.

I hope you enjoyed my tips for a chic Earth Day. Let me know anything you are doing today and everyday to keep our world beautiful.

Cozy Up With Some Spring Jammies

After a long day, my favorite thing to do is come home and change into some cozy jammies. Do people actually say jammies anymore? If they don't bear with me because I love the sound of it! Wearing pajamas instantly puts me in a relaxed state of mind, and makes an ordinary day a little bit more special. With the warmer weather it's time to switch out those flannel pajamas for some light weight versions. Think cotton night gowns, silk short sets, and oversized button ups. My friends always make fun of me for packing matching pajama sets on girls weekends, but what can I say, I love to look put together even if it's just for sleeping! Check out a few of my favorites below, and let me know if you've found any must have jammies for this spring!

Rompers For The Morning Of Your Wedding

With all the amazing Easter posts out there this week, I decided to end the week on a slightly different note. Being in my early twenties, weddings are the hot topic of conversation among my peers. Talking about beautiful floral arrangements, dream venues, and personalized elements is becoming a regular topic of conversation among me and my unengaged friends. With weddings on the brain, I started to thinking about all the little elements I would love to incorporated into my wedding someday. One of my favorite parts of a wedding is the build up. The morning of is filled with so much excitement and anticipation. That's why it is so great for a bride to have a photographer on hand all day to capture every sweet moment.

If you are lucky enough to have a photographer at the morning of your big day, consider getting you and your bridesmaids something  to wear. It will look great in photographs, and will be a thoughtful gift for your maids. I've seen brides do many different morning of outfits, but one of my absolute favorites is when brides do pretty floral rompers or robes. They photograph beautifully and are easy to get on and off without ruining hair and makeup. When looking for options, Plum Pretty Sugar has some of my favorite. What do you guys think of this style? It is something you would love or hate as a bridesmaid?

Also, if you guys have not had your fill of Easter posts yet, I am sharing a few of my favorite posts for you to catch up on this weekend. Yesterday, Natalie over at Catalina Creative shared an awesome post with some fashion inspiration for Easter that you must check out. If you are looking for a creative easter post, be sure to check out the Easter eggs House Of Earnest made last year. They are so beautiful and easy to do! Have a wonderful weekend!

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

If I had to choose one cookie to eat for the rest of my life, I would choose these insanely delicious oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. They are by far the best I have ever eaten, and I am an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie connoisseur. Each bite provides you with a deep, rich flavor that is exploding with chocolate chip goodness. The oatmeal adds a healthy ingredient and provides the perfect texture that really makes these cookies pop. If you like a cookie that is slightly crispy, while still having a soft chewy center this is the cookie for you! It's the best! They are super easy to make and result in a delicious finished cookie.
