You know that moment when you smell something and are transported back to another moment in time? Smells evoke such strong feelings of nostalgia for me. The other day I smelled a lotion that transported me back to my childhood. A moment with my god mother that will always be fondly remembered. I think it's such a beautiful thing that a scent can do that. It's scents like this that are so important. When Sophia Matthias from 1509 was creating her own fragrance mixes she had two things in mind: she never wanted to smell like anybody else, and she wanted it to remind her of home. Since 100% fragrance oil will never smell the same on any two given people her blend accomplishes that perfectly. When choosing the fragrances for her blend she choose notes that reminded her of her home back in California.
I must say, I'm usually the type of person who likes to wear different scents depending on my mood or the occasion. With that said the idea that one day somebody could have a moment of remembering me through scent really makes me want to change that. My problem is that I've never found a scent that I felt I could always wear since sometimes I want something lighter and others I want something with darker notes. 1509 produces two scents that are both considered unisex. One a touch more feminine, the other a hint more masculine. Both equally as intoxicating they may just become my go to fragrance duo. Since both fragrances start with a base note of amber they are similar enough with just a slight difference. The female scent has baby's breath fragrance oil and the male scent has sage fragrance oil. They make a perfect duo for the days you want something light and others when you want something dark.
If you are looking for a new scent or just want to smell something blended to perfection you need to check out 1509. I am not kidding when I tell you this is one of the most beautiful fragrances I've ever smelled. It's the type of scent where you'll catch yourself not so subtly sniffing your wrist. Its just that good. Okay, maybe that last part is just a weird thing I do but whose judging right? Do any of you have an intoxicatingly beautiful smell I should check out? Like I said I am scent obsessed so I won't be able to help myself.
